The Ethiopian Evangelical Church believes that one of the primary ways it prepares its members is to grow and stand firm in their lives is by building strong families and preparing a strong generation that is useful for God's kingdom and for the nation. Believing this to be its foremost work, the church has organized this fellowship and is equipping its congregants.
Family Ministry Services
- Pre-marriage teaching for those not yet married
- Post-marriage teaching for those who are married
-
For members of our church who are at different stages of their marriage, grouping 7–8 couples together and providing marriage-related teachings based on the Word of God, prepared on various topics. These are taught in person on the third Sunday of each month after the church service in their assigned groups, where they also discuss the prepared lessons and share experiences—a time of the ministry.
-
It is clear to all of us that this established Family Ministry is a place where, more than anyone else, it is present first in times of social matters, sorrow, and joy, demonstrating togetherness in practice with much love, providing good support and comfort to many. Moreover, this is something the beneficiaries of the service testify to!
-
Another service being provided by the Family Ministry is offering advice by giving guidance and imparting knowledge so that those seeking pre-marriage counseling can identify and know in advance who to consult, enabling them to have the right perspective.
-
Providing special counseling services for couples who have been married from one month to seven years. Since many challenges arise during this period of marriage, offering knowledge and advice on how to navigate this time and lead a stable married life, along with prayer support.
-
For members of our church at any stage of marriage, when conflict and disagreement arise, the service unit’s door is open to provide counseling services to married couples who come seeking help.
-
Finally, we invite with great humility married couples who have not yet joined the Family Unity service. We also encourage those of you who have not yet been included in the unity to become beneficiaries of this service!
